On Friday, March 11th, Broward Workshop held its 3rd Annual "The State of our County" forum to address current and future issues related to Broward County business. The event was attended by over 800 business and civic leaders, and elected officials from across South Florida who gathered to hear keynote speaker the Honorable Rick Scott, Governor of the State of Florida.  The Honorable Jeremy Ring, Florida Senator and Chair of the Senate Government & Oversight Commitee, presented his views on state and local pension reform policy as well as his vision for economic development. Professor David Matkin, FSU and LeRoy Collins Institute presented the findings of the "Trouble Ahead: Florida Governments and Retirement Obligations" report. Opening remarks were delivered by the Honorable Sue Gunzburger, Mayor, Broward County.
